Subject: [highlanderswaps] [OFFICIAL]Origins-must read

Attention all Highlander Players

Origins is a short three weeks away. There are many things about the
tourneys that you must take heed of before hand.

1. You will not see Highlander listed in the on-site booklet. But we are
there.
2. Our events are not "official" according to the WOTC folk. There fore,
you do not have to buy tickets to play.
3. You will have to pay the lead tournament judge for all sealed decks.
4. Look for the tourneys to be in the gaming hall (Ballroom) we will be
located at the Dragon Dice area. If space becomes a premium, we will be
moving to either open gaming areas or to the Food Court--someone at Dragon
Dice will be able to direct you.
5. MLE cards will be legal in MLE tournaments only. Winners *will* be
awarded a Quickening
6. All winners will receive their Quickenings on the spot.

Below you will find a listing of the tourney schedule and the Floor Rules
(the same ones used at GenCon last year).
Many of you have had questions regarding rulings and the handbook. The
Handbook/Rulebook remain official. The new Handbook Addendum is also
official--it has been completely approved by Mike Sager. If you have any
pending questions of your own, please get them to Steve Crow asap so as to
avoid last minute questions and hassels on the tournament floor.
At this time First Blood is still the *official* game ending practice.

not be tolerated.
3. Players are NOT to watch any qualifying tournament matches. And, any
player may request that no one be standing over them watching play at any
match.
4. Cheating will not be tolerated.
5. Any player not in their seat within five minutes after the beginning of
their round, shall forfeit that match.
6. Tournament sign-ups begin 15 minutes before the hour and will end 15
minutes after the hour at which time bracketing will begin. Tournament play
begins on the half hour.
7. Questions regarding rulings will be referred to the team of 3 judges on
the floor. Players may ask once for clarification. After that, questioning
a ruling will result in disqualification. Those that are already eliminated
from play, who argue will be not allowed to sign-up for the next tournament.

If you have any questions regarding the above, please let me know. I will
answer to the best of my ability.
